Peugeot 308 keyless entry and starting issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Peugeot 308 hybrid is experiencing issues with keyless entry and starting, requiring the key to be physically inserted into the ignition. The problem may be linked to a faulty bumper antenna, potentially caused by a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by having a professional check and repair the antenna-related components.

Interesting! So, you reckon it's definitely antenna-related? Did you experience the same starting issue, needing the key in the ignition? Any chance you remember specifically what the fix was?

Yep, the key thing was exactly the same for me. I wasn't able to fix it myself. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked out by a professional. It's likely that cable or plug connection is indeed defective, which could be fixed easily.

Thanks a bunch for the insight! I'll take it to the shop and mention the antenna issue specifically. They quoted me around 95€ for the repair, so hopefully, that'll sort it out.

That sounds very familiar! I had similar gremlins in my 308, though mine's not a hybrid. Basically, when the antenna goes rogue, it throws everything out of whack. Think of it like a bad conductor in an orchestra - the timing of everything gets messed up!
