Thanks for the quick reply! The fan clutch seems okay, it spins freely, but I didn't check it deeply. When you had the issue, what exactly was wrong with your electrical connection and did you have any trouble diagnosing the root cause? The temperature keeps rising, so I need to quickly find the problem.

In my case, it wasn't the connection, but the sensor itself. The error code pointed to a defective temperature sensor, which prevented the fan from engaging. However, given your description, a bad cable or plug connection might be the problem. It is difficult to diagnose this without proper tooling. I would advise taking it to a trusted workshop.

Thanks a lot for the insight! It seems I wasn't thorough enough with the electrical checks. You were right - the workshop confirmed it was a defective plug causing the fan to fail. 95€ later, it's all fixed! Appreciate the help!

I also have a Peugeot 308, and I had similar overheating issues a while back. Have you checked the fan clutch at all? That was the culprit for me. What exactly have you checked regarding the fan's electrical connections?
