Peugeot 4007 Error Messages

I'm having a nightmare with my 2011 Peugeot 4007, gasoline version. It's only done about 41595 km. I keep getting error messages popping up all over the place – on the infotainment system AND in the speedometer! Plus, the diagnostic scanner is showing a fault code stored in the error memory. I've tried clearing the codes myself, but they just keep coming back. Could it be a dodgy sensor or something more serious? I’m really pulling my hair out here!

I also own a Peugeot 4007, and I experienced similar issues some time ago. The error messages appearing on both the infotainment system and the speedometer, combined with the stored fault code, do sound suspiciously like a coding issue. Have you made any recent modifications to the vehicle's software?

Thanks for the reply! No, I haven't made any modifications to the software recently. That's what's so strange! It just started happening out of the blue. When you had the same problem, what exactly was it, and what did you have to do to fix it? Any details would be a huge help!

In my case, the error was indeed due to incorrect vehicle coding. Unfortunately, it's not something easily resolved at home. I would recommend a visit to a qualified workshop for a professional diagnosis and recoding of the vehicle. They will possess the necessary tools and expertise to rectify the issue.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on! It was indeed a coding issue. They recoded the car, and it seems to have sorted it. Cost me 360€, but at least the annoying error messages have gone! Really appreciate your help!
