Peugeot 4007 oil level sensor issue

I'm having a weird issue with my 2012 Peugeot 4007 (gasoline engine). I keep getting an error message on the speedometer related to the oil level sensor. The warning light also comes on, and sometimes the oil pressure lamp lights up too. The error memory stores the fault as an oil level sensor signal issue. I've checked the wiring as best I can, feels like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I suspect a dodgy connection somewhere. Anyone else had a similar experience?

I had something similar happen with my 4007, though I can't recall the exact error code. Was your car acting like a grumpy teenager throwing a tantrum? Were there any other strange symptoms?

Not really, just the oil level warnings as mentioned. What did you end up doing to fix it? Was it an easy fix, or did you have to dig deep into the engine?

In my case, the garage identified it as a faulty connector. Given your symptoms, I would say take it to the workshop and let them have a look. My invoice for the repair was 95€. After they did a little tinkering with the cables, it was all good.

That's really helpful! Seems like a trip to the shop is in order. Hopefully, it's just a loose connection and nothing more serious. I appreciate the insight!
