Can you tell me more about what happened with your Vauxhall Astra, and what fixed it? I want to see if there are similarities.

Yeah, sure thing. With the Astra, it was mostly the ABS light flickering and the traction control kicking in at random times, especially on the highway. The mechanic said it was a faulty ABS control unit messing everything up. He replaced it, and the problem went away. Honestly, I'd get it checked out at a reputable workshop. It sounds like the same issue.

Thanks for sharing that. Based on the information, including your input, I had a diagnostic assessment at a service center. They confirmed a defective ABS control unit. A replacement was done, costing 1000€. The issue is now resolved.

Oh, that sounds rough. I had a similar thing happen in my old Vauxhall Astra, though it wasn't quite the same. The ABS light would come on, and the traction control would go nuts for no reason. Did you check the transmission input speed sensor? It might be that, or maybe even something with the odometer signal messing with the ECM.
