Peugeot 406 Incorrect Vehicle Coding

Alright, I'm pulling my hair out here. My 2001 Peugeot 406 diesel is throwing a fit with 283815 km on the clock. The scan tool is showing a fault code, plus I'm getting an error message plastered across the infotainment system AND the speedometer. My gut says it's probably incorrect vehicle coding. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar issue on my 406. Did you recently get any work done on the car that involved the ECU?

Now that you mention it, I did have the ECU remapped a while back. Do you think that's what fried the car?

It is likely that the remapping has introduced an incompatibility with other vehicle systems. My recommendation would be to take it to a workshop for diagnostics.

You nailed it! Took it to a shop, and they confirmed the coding was off after the remap. Recoded it, and everything's back to normal. Cost me 360€, but worth it to get rid of those annoying errors. Cheers for the help!
