It's just the driver's side door. I haven't inspected the wiring harness yet. What should I look for?

Driver's door only suggests a localized issue. Look for wire damage – cracks, fraying, exposed copper. Check the connector plug for corrosion or loose pins. Think of it like a weak link in a chain. Given the cost, it's best to let a workshop handle this. Have them check the door actuator too.

A workshop diagnosed a defective cable/plug connection in the driver's side door handle, as suspected. The repair cost 95€. Thanks for the help!

Electrical gremlins can be vexing. Your symptoms point to the door handle wiring or connector. They degrade over time with use. Have you checked the door wiring harness where it passes into the door? That's a common failure point due to flexing. Is it just one door, or all of them?
