Peugeot 407 Alarm Fault

No jump starts or electrical work recently. Where exactly is the siren located? And could a dodgy plug connection really kill the whole system?

Okay, good to rule out the jump start. The siren's usually behind the wheel arch liner, passenger side. And yeah, a dodgy plug connection can absolutely cause havoc! It can interrupt the communication and the alarm system will stop working. Based on what you said, I'd say it's best to get it checked out by a workshop. I reckon they'll sort it quick, but I can't promise anything.

Took it to the shop; you were spot on. Turns out it was a corroded plug, just like you said. 95€ later and it's all fixed. Appreciate the advice!

A 407 alarm playing up? Could be a few things, but a wiring fault is definitely a prime suspect. Has the car been jump-started recently, or any other electrical work done? Sometimes a surge can fry things. Also, have you checked the siren itself? They can corrode over time.
