Peugeot 407 Bluetooth Pairing Issue

My 2010 Peugeot 407 diesel with 283849 km is having issues. My smartphone won't connect to the car's system, and there's an error stored in the memory. I've tried different phones and cables. Any ideas?

Sounds like a pairing issue. I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 Series. The multimedia system refused to connect with my phone and showed errors. Have you checked the Bluetooth module for damage or loose connections? A system reset might help.

Where is the Bluetooth module located in the Peugeot 407? And for the reset, do you mean disconnecting the battery, or is there a specific procedure for the multimedia system?

On the BMW, the module was part of the head unit, but I'm not sure about the 407. Search online for the location. For the reset, check the car's manual first. There's usually a procedure involving holding buttons. Disconnecting the battery might work, but it can cause other issues. A workshop visit is best; they have diagnostic tools.

I took it to a workshop. It was a software glitch causing the pairing issues. They re-flashed the system, and it works now. Cost me 45€. Thanks for the advice!
