Peugeot 407 GPS Reception Error

My 2005 Peugeot 407 with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The navigation system is throwing an error – no GPS reception. Diagnostic tool says GPS antenna defective. Mileage is 128524 km. Anyone else run into this? I've checked the connections, but nada. The radio works fine, so I doubt there is massive signal interference.

The error is pretty consistent, always an issue. Software glitch, maybe, but it started suddenly. Obstruction? I'm usually driving in open areas, so seems unlikely. Did you also experience permanent error messages and bad to no reception with your 407's navigation unit?

Given the consistency of the error, it would be advisable to consult a qualified technician for further diagnosis. It would be also beneficial to check the wiring for any corrosion or damage. Ultimately, I went to the workshop.

Alright, sounds like that is the way to go then. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. I've got a quote for around 200€ for a new GPS antenna replacement including labor, which isn't too bad I guess. Thanks for sharing your experience!
