Thanks for the reply! Yes, the engine light is on. I haven't done any specific diagnostics beyond noticing the symptoms. I'm not really sure how to check the actuators and wiring for the intake manifold flap control. Is it a tricky job? What exactly did you do when you had the same issue?

The task's complexity is contingent on your mechanical proficiency. In my experience, while a superficial inspection of the wiring and connectors might be within the capabilities of a novice, a thorough diagnosis necessitates specialized tools and expertise. Given that the engine light is illuminated, and you've observed multiple concurrent symptoms, it would be prudent to seek professional assistance. Continuing to operate the vehicle in its current state may exacerbate the existing problem, potentially leading to more extensive and costly repairs. I would recommend scheduling an appointment with a reputable workshop to ascertain the underlying cause and implement the appropriate remedial measures.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local garage and they confirmed it was the intake manifold flap control. Cost me 465€ to get it sorted, but the car is running much better now!

Greetings. I drive a Peugeot 407 as well, though slightly older. I did encounter similar symptoms a while ago. The reduced power, rough engine running, and increased fuel consumption are indicative of a problem within the intake system. Have you checked whether the engine light is illuminated? Specifically, what diagnostic steps have you undertaken to isolate the fault with the intake manifold flap control? Have you checked the relevant actuators and wiring for any visible damage or disconnections?
