The error code was something about the active air flap being stuck. Runs fine, just gets too hot! What was the final fix on yours?

Yup, that's exactly what happened to mine. Turned out to be a defective electromechanism on the air flap. The garage confirmed it pretty quickly. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they'll be able to diagnose it properly and tell you for sure.

Thanks a bunch! I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on. Defective electromechanism on the air flap. Cost me 590€ to get it fixed, but at least it's running cool now!

I had a similar problem with my 407. The overheating and check engine light combo sounds familiar. What error code did the scan give you? Is it running rough at all?
