Peugeot 407 rear sun blind failure

Hey there, I have a 407 as well, and this sounds awfully familiar. When you say "stuck," do you mean completely unresponsive, or does it try to move and then get stuck? Mine was making a whirring noise, then nothing. Was the error message specific enough to point to the motor itself?

Yeah, completely unresponsive now, no whirring or anything. The error code was something about a faulty motor circuit, so it sounds like the motor is the prime suspect. Is it a huge job to replace, or something a reasonably competent DIYer could tackle?

Okay, if there's no sound at all, and the code points to the motor, it's almost certainly the motor. I wouldn't attempt it yourself, unless you're really comfortable with taking apart interior trim. You might damage something and end up with a bigger bill. I'd suggest getting a quote from a workshop. Prepare for disappointment, though, it's probably not cheap.

Thanks for the advice. I suspected as much. I got a quote from a local shop: 330€ including parts and labor. Seems steep, but better than making things worse myself! Appreciate the help!
