Peugeot 407 reduced power check engine light

Good day. I have a 2006 Peugeot 407, diesel engine, with 99294 km. Recently, I've experienced reduced engine power, and the check engine light is illuminated. Could this be a defective throttle valve? I have not performed any troubleshooting steps so far.

Sounds like the accelerator pedal module or electronics inside the throttle valve might be defective. Better have the car checked by a workshop.

Thank you for your help. I took the car to the workshop. Indeed, the throttle valve was defective. The repair cost 265€.
