Peugeot 408 fuel flap release malfunction

Peugeot 408, 2014, gasoline engine. The fuel flap release isn't working. There's an error stored, I can't lock or unlock the flap, and some vehicle functions are unavailable. The car has 265209 km. Anyone seen this?

I own a 408 as well, and I had a similar problem last year. Is the fuel flap release completely unresponsive, or does it occasionally work?

In my case, the actuator was faulty, and the workshop changed it. Given your symptoms, especially the error code, it sounds like a workshop visit is the next step. It could be a defective lock actuator or damaged wiring.
