Peugeot 408 Windshield Wipers Not Working
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Peugeot 408 owner is facing an issue with non-functional windshield wipers, suspecting a defective cable or plug connection. Another owner with a similar problem suggests checking the wiring harness near the steering column, as loose or damaged connections can be a common cause. The issue in the second case was resolved by addressing a faulty wiper switch and corrosion on the connector, highlighting the importance of professional diagnosis and repair.

I did inspect the wiring harness, but found nothing obvious. Unfortunately, I don't have the exact error code. Was your issue resolved by addressing the wiring, or was there another problem?

I tried fiddling with the connections myself, but ultimately, I took it to a workshop. They identified a faulty wiper switch and some corrosion on the connector. It wasn't a huge job for them. I'd recommend getting it properly diagnosed.

Your experience confirms my suspicions. I'll take it to a workshop for a detailed inspection and repair. The estimated cost is around 95€, which seems reasonable. Thanks again!

I have a 408 as well, and I had a similar problem with my car wipers some time ago. Did you check the wiring harness near the steering column? Sometimes they can get loose or damaged. Could you give more details on what error code you're seeing?
