Peugeot 5008 AC failure

My 2011 Peugeot 5008, gasoline engine, is giving me AC grief. 209k km. The AC just decided to quit. I'm getting an error stored in memory, no cooling, the system won't even switch on, and the speedometer's showing a warning light. My gut says it's the AC control unit, anyone else seen this?

Sounds rough. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra a while back. AC died, warning lights, the whole shebang. Did you check for any refrigerant leaks? That was my initial thought.

Yeah, I checked for leaks, didn't find anything obvious. Pressures seem okay too. You mentioned a similar issue – was it actually the control unit in your case, or something else?

Turns out, for me, it wasn't the control unit directly, but a sensor feeding into it. The workshop figured it out pretty quick. Honestly, I'd get it properly diagnosed; could save you throwing parts at it.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on - it was related to the control unit. They replaced it, and it cost me around 980€. Now the AC is working like a charm again!
