Steering wheel and actuator? Where exactly are those located? I'm not really a car guy.

No worries! The steering wheel connections are behind the steering wheel itself – where the buttons for the cruise control are. The actuator is usually near the engine or on the steering column. But honestly, if you're not comfortable poking around, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. It could be a simple fix, but messing with the wrong wires can cause more problems.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop and you were right, it was a defective cable/plug connection. Cost 95€ to fix.

Hey! That sucks. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. For me, the cruise control issue was down to a faulty connection. Cruise control systems often use a bunch of sensors and actuators (an actuator is like a little motor or switch that makes something move or happen) connected by cables. If one of those connections is loose or corroded, it can throw everything off. Have you checked the connections around the steering wheel and the actuator itself?
