Peugeot 5008 oil level sensor fault

I'm having trouble with my 2022 Peugeot 5008 gasoline. I keep getting an error message in the speedometer, plus a warning light, and the oil pressure warning lamp lights up occasionally. The error memory also stores the fault. I scanned it and it says it's the oil level sensor/oil level sensor signal faulty. Has anyone experienced this before? I've checked the basics, like oil level (it's fine) and looked for obvious damage to the sensor cable, but nothing jumps out.

I had something similar with my 5008. Drove me absolutely bonkers! Same symptoms: error message, the light show on the dash... I'm guessing you've tried clearing the error code, right? Does it come back straight away, or only after a bit of driving?

Yeah, I cleared the code, but it pops back up pretty quickly, usually within a few minutes of driving. So frustrating! Was it definitely the sensor in your case? I'm thinking it could be a dodgy connection somewhere, but not sure where to start poking around.

Yep, sounds exactly like what I went through. I messed about trying to find a loose wire, but honestly, it was a pain. In the end, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly. Best bet is to get it looked at by a pro, they'll diagnose it properly.

Appreciate the insight. I was hoping to avoid a trip to the shop, but it sounds like that's the best option. For what it's worth, the cable or plug connection was defective. Repair cost was 95€. I'll book it in and hopefully get it sorted soon.
