Yes, the oil changes have been done per the manual. I'm using the recommended oil. I checked for leaks but didn't see any. Could it be a faulty oil pressure sensor, or is it more likely a mechanical issue like the oil pump?

Okay, if the oil level is correct, you're using the right oil, and there are no visible leaks, a faulty oil pressure sensor is possible, but the loud mechanical noises are a major red flag. A failing oil pump is the most likely culprit. Continuing to drive it could destroy your engine bearings. Seriously, get it to a workshop ASAP before you cause catastrophic damage. It sounds like you're headed for an expensive repair. Prepare for oil pump failure, the bill will probably be around 755€.

I suspected the oil pump. Your confirmation has solidified my decision to take it to a qualified mechanic immediately. I will post what the diagnosis and repair are. Thanks!

Whoa, that sounds serious! Low oil pressure on a relatively new engine like that is not something to ignore. Have you had your regular oil changes done according to schedule? What oil viscosity are you using? Are you seeing any signs of oil leakage anywhere under the car or around the engine?
