Peugeot 5008 Steering Wheel Multifunction Failure

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2009 Peugeot 5008, diesel engine, at 195183 km. The multifunction steering wheel isn't working, and there's an error in the memory related to it. I suspect a defective cable connection within the steering wheel. Has anyone encountered a similar electrical fault or connectivity problem with the steering controls?

Yep, rotary coupling, clock spring, tomato, tomato. Since the light's always on, you're probably right about a bad connection. Honestly, you might be better off taking it to a workshop. Messing with airbags isn't worth the risk, IMO.
