Peugeot 508 Auxiliary Heater Malfunction

My 2020 Peugeot 508 diesel with 120686 km has a malfunctioning auxiliary heater. The parking heater can't be activated, and there's an error stored. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 Series. Parking heater problems can be a pain. Have you checked the glow plugs? They're often the culprit.

Well, in my case, a defective glow plug meant the heater couldn't ignite properly, hence the error. I'd suggest getting it checked by a workshop; it might save you a lot of headache. It’s worth checking the heating system and the heater core as well.

Thank you for the advice. A diagnostic check at the workshop confirmed a defective glow plug. Repair cost 440€.
