Peugeot 508 check engine light and stalling

I had similar issues with my Opel Astra, different engine type though. The engine light came on intermittently, and the idle was rough. Have you checked the pressure sensor readings? That might give you a clue.

Pressure sensor - good point. What readings were you seeing on your Astra? Was it also a purge valve issue?

Yes, it turned out to be the purge valve. The readings were erratic, but generally lower than expected. Considering the potential for fuel mixture issues, I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop. They can diagnose it properly.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. It was indeed the tank ventilation valve. Hoses were clogged. Repair cost 175€.
