Peugeot 508 door lock failure

Has anyone experienced a faulty door contact signal on their 2011 Peugeot 508 diesel? My car has 69309 km mileage, and the door can no longer be locked or unlocked. Diagnostics point to a defective cable or plug connection.

I had similar issues with my 508. The central locking stopped working on one of the doors. Check the wiring harness where it passes from the body to the door. It's a common point of failure. Is your car alarm acting up?

You had the same locking issue? Was it definitely the wiring harness, or could it also be the door sensor itself? Also, where exactly did you find the most wear on the wiring?

Yeah, pretty much the same symptoms. It turned out to be the wiring. I'd suggest checking the harness first, but it might be the door sensor as well. Given the symptoms and diagnostics, you're probably best off having a workshop take a look. They'll be able to pinpoint the exact cause and do the repair properly. I'd expect to pay around 95€.
