Peugeot 508 Fuel Sensor Fault

Peugeot 508 2022 hybrid, 92921 km. Check engine light, stalls at idle, code points to fuel level sensor fault. Think it could be a fuse?

I've experienced similar issues with my 508. Though I drive a slightly older model, these cars share many components. Did this start happening after filling the fuel tank? Have you checked the wiring harness connecting to the fuel tank level sensor for any obvious damage or loose connections? From my experience, a faulty sensor will trigger the mentioned symptoms, resulting in an error being logged.

Thanks for the info. Didn't happen right after filling up, no. And I visually checked the wiring, looks fine. Any chance you're thinking of a specific fuse? Couldn't find one that seemed relevant in the manual.

While a defective fuse can cause similar issues by cutting power to the sensor circuit and triggering those symptoms, my 508 ended up requiring a new sensor. The electronic systems on these cars are very sensitive. I strongly recommend having a workshop run a proper diagnostic to confirm the fault, instead of continuing with a blind replacement of components.

Cheers. Turns out, sensor itself was faulty, like you said. 52€ at the local shop. Sorted now.
