Peugeot 508 hybrid battery issue

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2015 Peugeot 508 hybrid. The battery seems heavily discharged. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer, the lights are weak and flickering, and there's an error stored in the memory. Also, the battery feels weak when starting the engine. Could a defective battery sensor really cause all this?

Sounds familiar. I've got a 508 as well and had similar symptoms. Was it also throwing up random errors? Did you check the battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections?

Random errors, yes, exactly! I did check the terminals, they seem fine. So, the sensor was the culprit in your case? What did you do to fix it?

Yep, the sensor was the issue. I tried a few things myself, but in the end, I had to take it to a workshop. Saved myself a lot of headache in the long run. They diagnosed it pretty quickly.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll take it to a workshop then. It turns out the battery sensor was indeed defective. Cost me 315€ to get it sorted, but at least it's running smoothly again.
