Peugeot 508 key battery warning

My 2020 Peugeot 508 hybrid with 120445 km is showing a 'key battery low' warning. Keyless access is dead, and there's an error stored. Unlocking is also erratic. I think the key fob battery is dead. Anyone else seen this?

I had a similar problem with my 2018 BMW 5 series. The key fob acted up, and I got a low battery warning. I thought it was a car electrical issue. Have you tried a new key battery?

Yes, a new battery in my BMW key fob solved it. But with the stored error in your Peugeot, maybe get it checked after the battery swap to be sure there aren't other problems.
