Peugeot 508 keyless access fault

I'm having a weird issue with my 2023 Peugeot 508 gasoline. It's got about 173,000 km on the clock. The keyless access has stopped working, and I've got an error stored in the memory. I'm suspecting it might be a dodgy cable or plug connection to the door handle electronics. Anyone else experienced something similar?

Whoa, that sucks! Keyless entry is the best, right? So, does it happen on all the doors, or just one? Maybe try checking the fuses first? I'm not a mechanic or anything, but that's the first thing I'd look at. Fuses are easy to check and cheap to replace, could save you a bunch of hassle!

Good shout on the fuses, I'll give them a look. It's only the driver's side door handle that's playing up. If it's not the fuse, any thoughts on how easy it is to get to the cable and plug connection myself? I'm reasonably handy, but I don't want to break anything!

Ah, just the driver's side, huh? Yeah, getting to the wiring in the door can be a pain. You gotta take the door card off, and sometimes those clips are super fragile. Honestly, unless you're really confident, I'd get a pro to look at it. Could be a simple fix, but if you mess something up, it could cost way more! Especially with electrics. Best not to mess with car door electrics, it's always more complicated than you'd think!

Thanks for the advice! You're probably right, best to leave it to the pros. I took it to the shop, and it was indeed a faulty connection in the door. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Annoying, but at least it's fixed! Thanks again for the help!
