Yes, I tried that, but it didn't work. I've tried holding the switch up and down, but no luck. The error doesn't specify a particular window; it's a general error for the window regulator circuit. Do you think taking off the door panel would help?

Opening the door panel isn't advisable without proper diagnostics. A generic window regulator error after battery replacement suggests a deeper issue within the car's electronics. I would recommend having a workshop check the CAN bus communication and perform a guided function test.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the regulator needed a full reset using their diagnostic tools. Cost me 290€, but at least it's fixed now.

The window regulator likely requires re-initialization after a power disconnect. Have you attempted the standard window reset procedure, holding the switch up for a few seconds after the window closes? Does the error message specify which window regulator is affected?
