Peugeot 508 Start-Stop Issue

My 2019 Peugeot 508 diesel, with 241859 km, has a start-stop issue. The error memory stores a fault, the engine shuts off intermittently, and the speedometer shows a warning light. Is this likely a battery problem?

I had a similar problem with my 508. The Eco mode was completely dead. Did you check the battery voltage? That could point to a defective or heavily discharged battery.

I haven't checked the voltage yet, but I suspected the battery. Did your engine shut off completely, or just the start-stop?

The engine would shut off completely at lights. It was pretty random. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it. Replacing the battery fixed the issue for me.

Thanks for the info. I'll get the battery checked. The workshop confirmed it was the battery, and the new one cost 290€ including installation. Problem solved.
