Peugeot 508 Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Peugeot 508 was experiencing issues related to the outside temperature sensor, affecting the A/C, windshield washer nozzles, and side mirror heating. The problem was traced to a bad connection at the sensor. After replacing the connector and clearing the error code, all systems returned to normal functionality.

Thanks! I haven't checked the resistance yet. Where exactly is the sensor located on the 508? And what resistance range am I looking for? I don't want to fry anything.

On the Insignia, it was behind the front bumper, near the fog light. I'm not sure about your 508, but it's usually in a similar spot for aerodynamic reasons. I would not risk damaging anything, so I would suggest consulting the service manual or taking it to a workshop.

You were right! I took it to the shop. They found a bad connection at the sensor. Replaced the connector, cleared the code, and everything is working perfectly now. Total cost was 95€ Thanks for the advice!

I had a similar issue with my 2014 Opel Insignia. Same symptoms: A/C refusing to engage, weird temperature readings. Did you check the sensor's resistance with a multimeter? The diagnostic procedure usually involves checking the sensor's signal voltage and ground connection to the ECM. A faulty sensor can wreak havoc on other systems that rely on temperature data.
