Peugeot 508 Tire Pressure Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Peugeot 508 hybrid owner experienced a persistent 'Tire pressure too low' warning despite proper tire inflation. The issue was suspected to be a faulty sensor, possibly due to corroded valve stems or dead sensor batteries. After visiting a workshop, it was confirmed that the sensor battery was empty, leading to the replacement of the sensor, which resolved the warning issue.

Valve stems, huh? Interesting thought. I haven't specifically checked those. So, you think a corroded valve stem could actually trigger a low-pressure warning even with proper tire inflation? That's like blaming the messenger for the bad news, isn't it?

Yep, exactly! In my case, it turned out the sensor batteries were dead. The mechanic said it's common after a few years. Unfortunately, they usually need to replace the whole sensor. If the tires are ok, you should probably go to the workshop.

Thanks for the tip! I did end up taking it to the workshop. You were spot on about the sensor battery being empty! Replaced the sensor, and the error is gone. Cost me 280€, but at least it's sorted. Appreciate the insight!

That sounds really annoying! I had something similar happen with my 508 – drove me nuts for a while. Have you checked the valve stems? Sometimes they corrode and mess with the sensor readings. It's like when your phone thinks it has full battery but then dies immediately.
