A headache is an understatement! The dashboard isn't lighting up like a Christmas tree, but there are some odd lights. The OBD scanner pointed towards the control unit. Was your Saab's issue also pointing towards the control unit?

Spot on! The OBD scanner confirmed a control unit fault on my Saab. After chasing dead ends, it was a software bug. I had to take it to a workshop for reprogramming, which resolved it. Sounds like you might need a garage visit, too.

Thanks for sharing your experience! A workshop visit was inevitable. Reprogramming the control unit solved it. Cost 240€, but the car is running smoothly again. I appreciate the response.

Whoa, sounds like a headache! I had similar random electrical issues with my old Saab 9-3. Is your dashboard lighting up? Did you try reading the error codes with an OBD scanner?
