Peugeot 607 rear sun blind failure

Hi, I've got a 2000 Peugeot 607 with a gasoline engine. The sun blind in the back has stopped working. It won't retract or extend; it's just stuck. I even checked the error memory and there's a stored error related to it. Anyone had this issue? Any ideas what could be causing it?

Sounds like a pain! Does the motor even make a noise when you try to use it? Could be a dead motor, or maybe something's jammed in the mechanism. Have you tried gently helping it along while pressing the button to see if it moves at all?

Thanks for the quick reply! No noise at all from the motor when I try to use it. I did try gently helping it, but no luck, it's really stuck. So, you think it's likely the motor itself then?

Yeah, those symptoms really point to a faulty motor. If there's no noise and it's completely stuck, plus the error code, that's pretty conclusive. Sadly, best bet is probably a workshop to get it sorted. They'll be able to confirm and replace the motor properly.
