Peugeot 607 Tailgate Hall Sensor Fault

I own a 607, not the same year, but I recall similar tailgate issues a while ago. Sounds very familiar. Was the error message persistent, and did you notice any other electrical problems?

The error message is persistent each time I try to open the tailgate. Haven't seen any other electrical issues. What was your experience and what did you try?

My error was intermittent at first, then constant. Since you've already found the hall sensor and suspect wiring, check it thoroughly. I'm not that technical, so I took it to a workshop and they fixed it quickly.

Thanks, I'll book a workshop to check the hall sensor fault. Diagnostics confirmed the cable connection was defective. Repair cost 95€.
