Peugeot 607 Turn Signal Error

Alright Peugeot gurus, I'm pulling my hair out! My 2009 Peugeot 607 (gasoline engine) is throwing a fit. The turn signal on the passenger side is acting up – I get an error message on the speedometer, an error stored when I hook it up to diagnostics, and obviously the light itself is faulty. 97340 km on the clock. Could it be the bulb? Or worse? Anyone else had this drama?

I had a similar issue with my 607. First thing I'd check are the cable and plug connections to the turn signal lamp itself. Are they corroded or damaged? That's a common culprit.

Corroded connections, huh? Hmmm, didn't think of that! Is it easy to get to those connections on the 607? Do I need any special tools, or is it just a matter of popping off a cover and having a look?

Yes, corroded connections were the issue in my case. It's relatively easy to access. You might need a small screwdriver to remove the cover, but nothing too specialized. If cleaning the connections doesn't solve it, it may be a deeper electrical issue.

Thanks a bunch for the tip! Took it to the workshop and it was indeed a faulty connection, just like you said. They cleaned it up and charged me 95€, so I'm happy to be rid of that annoying error message!
