Peugeot 806 Fog Sensor Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Peugeot 806 is experiencing issues with a faulty fog sensor, which is causing an error and affecting the AC, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. It is suggested to check the wiring harness near the sensor, located at the base of the windshield inside the car, as a loose connection there is a common problem. A mechanic confirmed the issue as a defective cable or plug connection, and the repair was completed.

Thanks for the hint. Where exactly is the wiring harness located? I want to check it before I do anything else.

It's usually tucked up behind the dashboard, close to where the sensor itself is mounted on the windshield. It can be a pain to get to. If you're not comfortable with auto electrics, I would suggest that you visit a workshop.

OK, I'll check it out. Thanks. I had a mechanic look at it and they found a defective cable or plug connection. The repair cost 95€.

I had similar issues with my 806. The fog sensor can cause a cascade of problems because it's tied into the climate control system. The frozen nozzles and mirror heating are all related. Have you checked the wiring harness near the sensor? A loose connection there is a common problem. You'll find the sensor near the base of the windshield, inside the car.
