Peugeot 806 Intermittent Lighting Fault

Hey, I've got a weird electrical issue with my 2002 Peugeot 806 gasoline. It's done 235849 km. The light switch is acting up – sometimes the lights just won't turn on. I scanned the ECU and got an error code for the lighting circuit. I'm thinking it might be a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. Lights would flicker or not come on, and the diagnostic tool pointed to a fault in the switch. Does the dimmer switch affect the lights at all?

Interesting! Yeah, messing with the dimmer sometimes gets them working again, but it always comes back. Did you ever figure out what was causing it on your Astra, and how did you fix it?

Turned out to be a faulty switch. I tried cleaning the contacts first, but no luck. Ended up replacing the whole switch assembly. Since you're seeing the same symptoms, I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop. Electrical faults can be a pain.

Good advice. With it being intermittent and your Astra experience, I'll take it to a workshop for a proper look. It's about 95€, but better safe than sorry. Thanks for the help!
