Peugeot 807 Active Hood Fault

I read that the acceleration sensor is a common cause for this fault in other Peugeot models. The system seems to think there's been a collision and has deployed the active hood, even though there hasn't been one. Was your issue exactly the same, or did you experience other symptoms?

In my case, it turned out to be a faulty sensor related to the active hood system, though I am not sure about the specifics. If the spring actuators have been triggered, I would recommend a workshop visit to check the system. It could be the sensor as you mentioned, but better have it checked properly before replacing any parts.

I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a defective acceleration sensor. Repair cost was 315€. Sorted!

I also own a Peugeot 807. I had a similar issue with warning lights and errors related to pedestrian safety. However, I am not sure about the acceleration sensor. What makes you think that's the problem?
