Peugeot 807 Height Control Issue

I have a 2006 Peugeot 807 diesel with 170631 km. The height control warning light is on, and the low beams are misaligned. The vehicle sits unevenly, and the ride is bumpy. There's an error code stored. I suspect a defective control rod on the sensor. Anyone seen this?

Wow, that sounds like a handful! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Scenic, although not quite as many symptoms. The height adjustment went haywire, and the headlights were all over the place. Do you mean the leveling sensor when you say 'sensor'? It detects the vehicle's suspension height and sends that info to the computer, which then adjusts the headlights. Have you checked the connections to that sensor? Maybe it's just a loose wire or something.

You're welcome! Yes, the back of my Scenic was noticeably lower. The ride was definitely affected; every bump felt amplified. After checking the connections, I just took it to a workshop. It sounds like yours might be beyond a simple fix, too. Probably best to get it checked out properly.
