Peugeot 807 Height Control Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Peugeot 807 is experiencing a height control warning light, misaligned low beams, uneven vehicle height, and a bumpy ride. The suspected cause is a defective control rod on the leveling sensor, which affects suspension height and headlight alignment. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by checking sensor connections and ultimately required professional workshop diagnosis and repair.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I mean the leveling sensor. When you had the issue with your Renault Scenic, did you also notice a difference in the ride height between the front and rear axles, and did it also cause a bumpy ride?

You're welcome! Yes, the back of my Scenic was noticeably lower. The ride was definitely affected; every bump felt amplified. After checking the connections, I just took it to a workshop. It sounds like yours might be beyond a simple fix, too. Probably best to get it checked out properly.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. I will take your advice and bring the vehicle to a workshop for diagnosis and repair. Initial estimate is 110€. Thank you again for your help.

Wow, that sounds like a handful! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Scenic, although not quite as many symptoms. The height adjustment went haywire, and the headlights were all over the place. Do you mean the leveling sensor when you say 'sensor'? It detects the vehicle's suspension height and sends that info to the computer, which then adjusts the headlights. Have you checked the connections to that sensor? Maybe it's just a loose wire or something.
