Peugeot 807 transmission issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Peugeot 807 diesel is experiencing transmission issues, with the transmission indicator and check engine light on, and the vehicle stuck in emergency mode with slipping and grinding noises. A diagnostic points to a defective radiator oil pressure, possibly due to a faulty cable or plug connection. The suggested solution is to visit a workshop for professional repair, as a similar case was resolved by replacing the pressure sensor cable.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm relieved and worried to hear that someone else experienced this. No visible coolant leakage, but I will check the pressure sensor. Did your diagnosis point to defective radiator oil pressure?

Yes, the radiator oil pressure was the culprit. After research, I went to a workshop. I recommend you do the same. These symptoms are unsettling, and I wouldn't try fixing it myself.

Thanks for your help. I went to the workshop, and you were right, the pressure sensor cable needs replacement, as predicted. Repair cost around 95€. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

I had a similar ordeal with my 807 – a nightmare, really. Your symptoms mirror mine: transmission indicator and check engine lights, emergency mode, and grinding noises. Do you see any coolant fluid on the floor after parking? Did you check the pressure sensor?
