Peugeot Boxer bumper antenna fault

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2023 Peugeot Boxer (electric engine). It's got about 96k km on the clock. Basically, the van thinks the bumper antenna is faulty. I'm getting an error in the memory, the central locking is acting up (unlocking/locking sporadically), and I can't start the engine without the key in the ignition – which defeats the point of keyless entry! Any ideas? I suspect a dodgy cable or connector.

That sounds familiar. I've got a Boxer too, though not the electric version, and had similar central locking issues. Have you checked the antenna mount itself? Could be corrosion or something blocking the radio signal.

Yeah, I had a quick look at the antenna mount itself, but didn't see anything obvious. When you say 'similar', were all the symptoms the same? And what did it end up being for you?

Pretty much the same, yeah. The central locking was the first thing to go, then the keyless start started playing up. Honestly, I fiddled around for ages and got nowhere. Ended up taking it to a workshop, turned out to be a bad connection. Saved me a lot of headaches in the long run. Might be worth getting it checked out, especially if you suspect the cable anyway. It might be a quick fix for a mechanic.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm barking up the right tree suspecting the connection. I'll book it in for a check-up. It was the cable or plug connection of the component defective, repair was 95€
