Peugeot Boxer Stalling and Power Loss

My 2009 Peugeot Boxer with a diesel engine has been a nightmare lately. The check engine light keeps popping on, and sometimes it just stalls when I'm idling! Plus, feels like it's lost a ton of power. I'm thinking it might be something fuel-related. Anyone got any ideas? Fuel efficiency is also way down...

Sounds rough! Is it idling rough too, or just stalling randomly? When's the last time you changed your fuel filter? It sounds like the high pressure pump is defective and that could be the cause, but first check fuel filter.

Yeah, the idling is rough. It kind of shudders. I haven't changed the fuel filter lately, so I'll check that, but doesn't defective mean new hpfp? If it's the high pressure pump, is that a huge job?

Rough idling is a bad sign... new hpfp could be needed. It's likely fuel volume regulator defective, damaged due high pressure pump defect. Get it checked by a workshop, high pressure pump could be really expensive.

Okay, appreciate the advice! Took it to the shop like you recommended. Turns out the fuel volume regulator was indeed defective because of the high pressure pump. Got it sorted, but it cost me 1510€. Fingers crossed, no more issues!
