Thanks for getting back to me! Fuel consumption seems normal, but it feels like it's lost some power, you know? Like it's not as responsive as it used to be. Any thoughts based on that?

Acknowledged. The loss of power further suggests a problem with the preheating system's functionality. It's plausible that a defective cable or plug connection is disrupting the component's operation. I would recommend having the vehicle inspected at a qualified workshop to avoid further complications.

Took your advice and brought it to the shop. Turns out it was, like you said, a dodgy connection to the preheating control unit. They fixed the cable, and everything's running smoothly again. Cost me 95€, but hey, no more smoke! Thanks a bunch for pointing me in the right direction!

Good day. Given the symptoms you describe with your 2023 Peugeot Expert diesel, it does seem like there's an issue with the preheating system. The persistent preheating lamp, check engine light, and smoke on acceleration all point in that direction. Have you noticed any changes in fuel consumption or engine performance, aside from the smoke?
