Peugeot Expert service required message and system errors
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Peugeot Expert electric vehicle displayed a 'Service Required' message, sporadic driving mode errors, and intermittent system failures, including unresponsive audio and navigation systems. An OBD-II reader showed stored errors but no clear cause. A suggested solution was to check the cable connection to the control unit, which was confirmed by a workshop to be defective. Repairing this connection resolved the issues.

Thank you for your reply. The cable connection to the control unit? Could you please elaborate? Is this something I can check myself, or am I better off taking it to a professional?

Given the symptoms, I would strongly recommend you visit a certified workshop to check the cable connection of the control unit with the bus system. It is a rather specific problem, and without the proper tools you risk making it worse. If the workshop confirms the defective cable connection of the control unit with the BUS system you might be looking at about 155€ of repairs.

Thank you. I took your advice and brought it to the workshop. Indeed, they confirmed the defective cable connection of the control unit. After the repair the fault message is finally gone!

I own an Expert as well and encountered comparable issues. By comparable I mean sporadic errors in driving mode, and the occasional system failure. I had a similar set of symptoms. Did you check the cable connection to the control unit?
