Interesting, so you think it's definitely a cable connection issue? Was it hard to diagnose, and did you fix it yourself, or did you take it to a shop?

Well, I'm not 100% sure, of course, but the symptoms sound really similar. For me, it was definitely the cable connection. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it myself unless you're really confident with electrical systems. I took mine to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quickly. I'd recommend getting it checked by a pro to be safe.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. At least I have a direction to point them in. They quoted 155€ to fix the cable connection, so hopefully that's all it is.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I have a Peugeot iOn too (not sure about the year), and I had similar symptoms. For me, it was the BUS system freaking out, causing all sorts of random electrical gremlins. Did you check the cable connections to the control unit? Could be a defective connection there.
