Peugeot iOn Electronic Parking Brake Failure

Alright, need some brainpower here. My 2019 Peugeot iOn (electric, of course!) is acting up. The electronic parking brake is completely dead. The warning light is on, and the error memory is full of parking brake errors. From what I've dug up, sounds like a dodgy motor in the brake caliper? Anyone else wrestled with this?

Sounds familiar! I had similar drama with my old Renault Megane, though it was a 2016 diesel. Exact same symptoms – electronic handbrake kaput, lights all over the dash, and a bunch of error codes. Did you check the brake sensor?

Brake sensor, eh? Whereabouts is that? And what exactly am I looking for? I'm decent with a multimeter, but I'm no electrical engineer! Any tips before I start poking around?

On my Megane, it was near the caliper itself, pretty exposed to the elements. Worth a look for corrosion or damaged wiring. But honestly, with those symptoms and the error codes, it really does sound like the motor is failing. Bit of a pain, but probably best to get it looked at by a workshop.

Cheers for the input! Looks like I'm heading for a 505€ bill according to the garage. They're saying it's definitely a faulty motor in the brake caliper. Oh well, at least it's sorted. Thanks again!
