Peugeot iOn Tailgate Sensor Fault

Anyone seen a tailgate hall sensor fault on a 2014 Peugeot iOn electric? Tailgate doesn't fully open, and it's throwing an error. Diagnostics point to a bad cable or plug.

Oh, that sucks! I had the exact same problem with my iOn. I remember cursing that tailgate for weeks. Check the sensor wiring first. Those cheap connectors are usually the culprit. Drove me nuts!

Could you give me more specifics on the sensor wiring location and any weak spots to check? Knowing where to look would help.

Okay, I recall now! It's gonna be a pain to reach. Honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop. I messed with mine for a while and ended up making it worse. Seriously, save yourself the headache and pay the 95€. It’s worth it, trust me.
