Pilot air suspension failure

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2008 Honda Pilot (gasoline engine). It's got about 170k km on it. Basically, the air suspension seems to have failed. The car won't lift anymore, and it's leaning to one side. I'm also getting an error message on the dash and a warning light. Plus, my low beams are all messed up! I scanned it and got an error related to the suspension compressor. Could it just be a bad connection?

Summary of the thread

The 2008 Honda Pilot is experiencing air suspension failure, indicated by the vehicle not lifting and leaning to one side, accompanied by a dashboard error message and warning light. The issue may be related to a faulty suspension compressor, potentially due to a bad connection. It is suggested to first inspect and possibly replace the connector, as a similar issue in another vehicle was resolved this way temporarily. If the problem persists, the compressor itself might need replacement, and professional workshop assistance is recommended.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Whoa, that sounds rough! My old Volvo XC70 had a similar problem a while back. The back end just sagged, like it was super tired. Turned out to be a corroded connector on the air compressor. It's like when your phone charger gets loose and stops working properly!

Interesting! So, on your Volvo, was it a pain to get to the connector? And did replacing the connector fix everything, or were there other issues?

Yeah, getting to it was a bit awkward, had to wiggle around some stuff, but not too bad. Replacing the connector fixed it… for a while! Then the compressor itself gave out. If you're getting electrical errors, check those connections first, but don't be surprised if the compressor is on its way out. I would go to the workshop!

Thanks! I appreciate the insight. I'll check the connections first, and if that doesn't do the trick, I guess it's off to the workshop I go. At least a new connector will only be about 95€.
