Other functions affected are minor convenience features. It started suddenly. Is a defective linkage a common issue on these?

Hmm, convenience features AND a fuel door that won't open... yeah, sounds electrical more than mechanical now that you mention it started suddenly. Defective linkages aren't super common, but honestly, with those symptoms, I'd bet on a faulty actuator or wiring issue. Could be a fuse, but probably time to get it checked at a workshop. Sorry to say!

Whoa, that sounds like a pain! Electrical gremlins are the worst. When you say 'some car functions,' what exactly isn't working? Did this just start happening out of the blue, or did anything precede it? Like, a car wash, a really bumpy road, anything?
